# - activity suspended (COVID restrictions)
* - proposed future activity
- GENERAL MEETINGS: 10:00 - 12:00, Second Monday each month, February to November, unless it is a Public Holidays that day [in which event the Meeting will be on the First Monday], in the Epping Presbyterian Church Hall, 46 Rawson Street (near Bridge Street) Epping (NSW). After opening formalities, a Guest Speaker presents a talk on a topic of their choice, which is followed by Morning Tea then activity reports et cetera.
- Guest Speakers: 10:00 - 11:00, at our General Meetings (or via ZOOM), Second Monday each month, February to November, unless it is a Public Holidays that day. After Meeting opening formalities, a Guest Speaker presents a talk on a topic of their choice. Members and partners welcome.
- Old Codgers Music Circle: normally 14:30 - 17:00ish on the Second Monday each month, February to December, unless it is a Public Holidays that day. Members take turns to host the event in their homes, presenting 1 - 1½ hours of fine music they select. Attendees are invited to 'bring a plate' to help provide what is always a sumptuous afternoon tea after the music. [COVID-19 pandemic health guidelines meant most 2020 meetings were held via ZOOM].
- President's Coffee Mornings: 10:00 - 11:30ish, the Friday following a General Meeting, unless it is a Public Holidays that day. We convivially convene at the Coffee Club, Carlingford Court, Carlingford (NSW), subject to health guidelines.
- Day Outings: nominally on the Third Tuesday each month, 09:00ish - 16:00ish, we gather at Epping Station or nearby to go to a place of interest for a visit or guided tour, with a lunch and time to chat. Check the Newsletter for specific day, date and destination.
- Dining Group: nominally on the Third Wednesday each month, we go to a restaurant or club somewhere in the Epping (NSW) region to enjoy a meal. Check the Newsletter for specific day, date and destination.
- Cycling ("The Wobblies"): 10:00 - 13:00ish, Third Friday each month, unless it is a Public Holidays that day. We gather at 10:00 at a specified location in the Sydney - Newcastle - Wollongong region and enjoy a relatively easy, fairly level ride of 20-35 km, with a coffee break or ending with a lunch together. Car pooling and spare bicycles and helmets may be available.
- "By Opal Card" Day Trips: on the Fourth Monday each month [was third Monday before March 2021], 09:00ish - 16:00ish, we routinely have a relaxing and enjoyable trip by Public Transport from Epping to somewhere in Greater Sydney, lunching together and often including visit to a museum, a presentation by a local historian, or similar.
- Movies: our Movies organiser selects a movie and venue for a trip to the cinema the Fourth Tuesday each month, and books tables at a café for attendees to lunch together before or after the movie. The venue is commonly the Macquarie Centre of Roseville Cinemas. As the screenings are only advertised the previous Thursday, details are circulated by email the week before the screening. This activity is currently suspended in keeping with latest COVID-19 health guidlines.
- Rambles: on the Fourth Thursday each month, we get together, usually in the Greater Sydney Region, to Ramble some 5-7km along tracks, bushwalks et cetera, seeing the local flora, fauna and general area. Check the Newsletter for specific day, date and destination.
- Theatre: Occasional. We love to attend the high-quality amateur local evening productions presented by The Theatre on Chester [dramas, three per annum] and the Eastwood Uniting Church Musical Society [musicals, two per annum], and an annual matinée musical at The Shore School, but! Alack and alay: their 2020 programmes have all been suspended due to that rotten COVID-19 pandemic. We will keep you informed!
- Tours: Occasional. We managed a quick trip to Norfolk Island in February 2020, returning on 2 March 2020 to a eerily empty peak-hour Sydney International Airport on the Monday: everything had been stopped by the COVID-19 pandemic! Normally, our Tours Officer Wal Gallager organises three or four tours per year, national and international. There are now three (3) tours in planning for 2021 (two delayed from 2020). Check our Tours WebPage or the latest Newsletter for the latest details.
