EDPCi Coffee Mornings

"The President's Coffee Mornings" are normally held at 10:00 on the Friday following the Club's General Meetings. We meet at The Coffee Club [near Woolworths] at Carlingford Court. Our chatter is always convivial, friendly and engaging. Partners are encouraged to attend [they generally group together for a natter]. Stay as long as you wish!

CURRENTLY we have been meeting more frequently as some of our other activities have been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During the pandemic we aim to adhere to government health guidelines related to the pandemic [we actually had a few 'virtual' Coffee Mornings via ZOOM in the early days of the pandemic! - worked out OK, but not as well and 'being there']. The government varies the guidelines as the the pandemic situation changes. Keep an eye on this page or the 'Current Events" section of our Home page for relevant dates.

• Friday 18 August 2023, 10:00 : come along for a chat, coffee, etc, with good friends at the Coffee Club, Carlingford Court. Come and enjoy!
• Friday 7 July 2023, 10:00 : 9 members and 3 ladies gathered at the July Coffee Morning having between 1 and 2 hours of to chat. 
• Friday 9 June 2023, 10:00 : 8 members and 3 ladies our monthly Coffee Morning convivially discussed today's foolishnesses and crises - the world's problems - over another enjoyable cup of tea / coffee. 
• Friday 12 May 2023, 10:00 : 9 members and 4 ladie attended our May Coffee Morning convivially discussed today's foolishnesses and crises - the world's problems - over another enjoyable cup of tea / coffee. 
• Friday 14 April 2023, 10:00 : 16 folk - 9 members, 7 ladies - were at our monthly Coffee Morning to convivially discuss today's foolishnesses and crises - the world's problems - over another enjoyable cup of tea / coffee. 
• Friday 17 March 2023, 10:00 : at our March Coffee Morning 9 happy members and 2 wives convivially discussed today's foolishnesses and crises - our own and the problems - over essential cups of tea / coffee et cetera. 
• Friday 17 February 2023, 10:00 : we 'resumed' our regular meeting schedule to creatively solve the world's problems over a cup of tea or coffee at our monthly Coffee Morning.12 members and five ladies and a guest attended. 
• Friday 13 January 2023, 10:00 : 12 members and three ladies decided to convene again for another very enjoyable chat over a cup of tea or coffee and maybe a light munch with a Coffee Morning. 
  
• Friday 9 December 2022, 10:00 : in December and January Club activities are generally suspended while we focus on the Christmas festivities and avoid the hot summer days, however 10 members and 2 guests decided to meet ‘face to face’ to socialise over a cup of tea or coffee at a Coffee Morning.
• Friday 18 November 2022, 10:00 : 11 members and 3 guests meet again to solve the problems of the world over a cup of tea or coffee at our monthly Coffee Morning.
• Friday 14 October  2022, 10:00 : 14 members and 3 guests enjoyed a chat over a cup of tea or coffee at our monthly Coffee Morning.
• Friday 16 September 2022, 10:00 : 10 members and four guests met ‘face to face’ to socialise over tea, coffee, etc at the our September Coffee Morning.
• Friday 12 August 2022, 10:00 : our Coffee Morning gathering this month was small - just eight members and one wife - but nevertheless we enjoyed ourselves very much with a chat over tea, coffee, etc, with good friends.
• Friday 18 July 2022, 10:00 : we had 12 members and four guests at the Coffee Club, Carlingford Court, enjoy ourselves whilst being careful about COVID-19 Omnicron variants BA.4 and BA.5.
• Friday 10 June 2022, 10:00 : 10 members and four wives had a good time with friends, tea and toast etc, at the Coffee Club, Carlingford Court.
• Friday 13 May 2022, 10:00 : 13 people (nine members, four wives) met for a chat, coffee, etc, at the Coffee Club, Carlingford Court.
• Friday 8 April 2022, 10:00 : 11 folk (8 members, three guests) met for coffee, etc, at the Coffee Club, Carlingford Court. Always enjoyed.

• Friday 14 January 2022, 10:00 : a smaller group - 8 members, suitably vaccinated etc, gathered cautiously during the Omicron-variant COVID-19 for a coffee at Carlingford Court.
• Friday 10 December 2021, 10:00 : 14 members and 7 guests met up for a long-desired coffee et cetera at Coffee Club, Carlingford Court.
• Friday 12 November 2021, 10:00 : meet ‘face to face’ again, and chat over coffee, etc, at the Coffee Club, Carlingford Court. Come and enjoy!
• Friday 29 October 2021, 10:00 : now the 106-day health lockdown has finished! Breakout! With changing Covid restrictions a “face to face” meeting was held at Carlingford Court on the 29th with 17 attendees!
• Friday 15 October 2021, 10:00 : Virtual Coffee Morning #5 [via ZOOM] - 11 members ZOOMed in to imbibe whatever they chose! Quite a pleasant morning for a LockDown.
• Friday 1 October 2021, 10:00 : Virtual Coffee Morning #4 [via ZOOM] - as the COVID-19 [Delta-variant] LockDown continued, 18 members and visitors ZOOMed in to chat over a cup of their own chosen beverage, It was nice to see each other and exchange news!
• Friday 11 June 2021, 10:00 : come and join us again for a chat over a cuppa or a coffee at the Coffee Club, Carlingford Court. Come along and enjoy the companionship!

• Friday 13 November 2020 [back to the regular schedule!] 12 members and 7 partners enjoyed thier tea/coffee +/- food, and earnest converse.
• Friday 30 October 2020 : 11 members and 3 partners had a really good time chatting together over a tea/coffee: five tables in 4 clusters meant good social distancing!
• Friday 09 October 2020: a reasonable attendance - 6 members and 4 guests - today for coffee together, we all enjoyed it.
• Friday 11 September 2020: 14 members and 2 guests met for coffee today, Coffee Club, Carlingford Court. Good fun, and social distancing emphasised.
• Friday 28 August 2020: 11 members and 3 visitors: as at last month's gathering, seat was kept to 4-6 maximum per table grouping to optimise for social distancing. 
• Friday 31 July 2020: the Coffee Morning at Carlingford Court was good, but attendance was down to 6 members only, probably due to a COVID-19 report at one shop nearby on 18 July (apparently only a minor incident).
• Friday 3 July 2020: after meeting 'virtually' more or less fortnightly, the Coffee Morning moved back to a physical get-together at Carlingford Court, with 20 attendees - 16 members and 4 partners. 
• Friday 12 June 2020: Virtual Coffee Morning #3 [via ZOOM] - Boil the billy, or bring a take-away tea or coffee (or whatever you like) with something to munch and ZOOM in this Friday at 10:00. 
• Friday 16 May 2020: Virtual Coffee Morning #2 [via ZOOM] - we have had a successful
  President’s Coffee Morning by ZOOM on 16 May and hope to repeat these fortnightly. 
• Friday 10? April 2020: Virtual Coffee Morning #1 [via ZOOM] - Boil the billy, or bring a take-away tea or coffee (or whatever you like) with something to munch and ZOOM in this Friday at 10:00.
• Friday 13 March 2020: 18 (12 members plus guests) gathered for tea and coffee - and then the axe fell: health guidelines related to the Novel Coronavirus [COVID-19] pandemic means this activity will be suspended awhile! 
• Friday 14 February 2020: our first Coffee Morning of the year drew 22 attendees - 15 members, 9 partners)! 
• Friday 6 December 2019: 11 members and 4 partners gathered for coffee +/- food and great time talking in smaller groups about great topics.
